We've been the agency. We've been the client.
We've built brands inside a global consumer company and led marketing for a specialized sports brand. We've created a brand from the ground up, then helped build the startup behind it into a business generating hundreds of millions in annual revenue.
We've operated retail. Built teams. Hired agencies. Managed budgets. Launched products. Created campaigns. And been accountable for real business results.
The best answer rarely comes from seeing the problem from only one side.

Every engagement begins by getting clear on what success looks like. From there, we determine the strategy, capabilities, and people required to get there.

Buzzn started with an opportunity and a blank sheet of paper. We built the brand from the ground up, assembled the right creative and specialist partners, and launched it through an integrated marketing ecosystem spanning every relevant consumer touchpoint.

John has spent more than 20 years building brands, teams, and marketing organizations across advertising, sports, consumer products, and retail.
After graduating from Bowdoin College, he started his career on Madison Avenue at Y&R and DDB, working on iconic brands including Bayer, Campbell's Soup, and Hertz, before returning to Boston to lead the Titleist Golf and Carnival Cruise Line businesses at Arnold Worldwide. From there, he moved to New Balance, where he led marketing for Warrior Sports and played a key role in the company's broader global sports marketing organization.
Most recently, John has spent seven years helping build Lume from an emerging startup into a vertically integrated consumer and retail business generating hundreds of millions of dollars in annual revenue. As CMO, his role has gone well beyond traditional brand marketing, spanning retail, customer acquisition and retention, product strategy, analytics, creative, media, and organizational design.
That range of experience shapes John's approach to consulting today. He believes the best marketing organizations aren't necessarily the biggest or the most complicated. They're built with intent, with the right strategy, people, partners, and resources aligned around what the business actually needs to accomplish.
Zach has spent 19 years building brands and businesses across retail, athletics, CPG, and QSR, with experience spanning New Balance, Dunkin', Titleist, Warrior Sports, and Lume.
Most recently, he spent seven years helping build Lume from an emerging startup into a nine-figure consumer and retail business. His leadership spanned brand strategy, customer acquisition, CRM, product, retail, creative, media, partnerships, and communications.
Earlier in his career, Zach led global brand strategy at New Balance and Warrior Sports after spending seven years in advertising at Arnold Worldwide and Hill Holliday, developing integrated campaigns and brand strategies for leading consumer brands.
He believes great marketing is about creating brands people choose, then building the teams, systems, and experiences that keep them choosing them.
